Dedeu-Ferrario Attorneys at Law was founded by Dr. Martin W. Dedeu in 1966. Our main goal was to establish a medium size law firm where a group of qualified lawyers could develop a personal and efficient relationship with corporations and businessmen, providing them with adequate legal advice in their day-to-day requirements and specific projects, with creativity, skill and businessman like approach.

The firm's practice is multidisciplinary in nature, and many of its attorneys have established international practices in such diverse fields as intellectual property, energy, environmental law and naturalresources, mining, international trade, media & telecommunications, corporate law and project finance, government affairs and bankruptcy among others.

Versatility and breadth of experience across legal disciplines enables Estudio Dedeu-Ferrario to respond immediately and efficiently to our clients most urgent and complex legal problems in all South America and abroad. The law firm is a proud member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association (C.P.A.C.F.), the American Bar Association and the International Bar Association. History

Estudio Dedeu-Ferrario, Attorneys at Law, was founded by Dr. Martin W. Dedeu in 1966. Its main goal was to establish a medium size law firm where a group of qualified lawyers could develop a personal and efficient relationship with corporations and businessmen, providing them with adequate legal advice in their day-to-day requirements and specific projects, with creativity, skill and business-like approach.

While the firm’s practice is general in nature, many of the attorneys have established international practices in such diverse fields as energy, environment and natural resources, mining, intellectual property, real estate and construction law, international trade, media & communications, corporate and finance, administrative law, banking, arbitration, privatizations, shipping and aeronautical law, international and Mercosur law, foreign investment, public policy and bankruptcy.

The firm’s energy practice offers a wide range of services, including assistance with mergers and acquisitions, project development, financing and refinancing, real estate, tax, regulatory matters, environmental matters, insurance coverage, antitrust matters, restructurings, and representation in litigation, arbitration and governmental enforcement actions.

The law firm is member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association and of the International Bar Association, among others.

In recent years, there has been a significant increase in specialization in the practice of law. As a result, we have developed international practice groups including international trade, real estate, communications and technology (including e-commerce and Internet), financial institutions, energy (electricity, oil and gas), transport and mining and base metals.

Our practice includes a diverse local and international clientele for whom the firm provides advice concerning the formation of new businesses, debt and equity investments in new and existing ventures, real estate and construction projects, project and equipment financing, and the purchase and sale of existing enterprises around the world. We frequently provide assistance in sophisticated multi-party transactions involving development and negotiation of complex institutional and multi-level investments and financings, from the inception to the completion of major transactions.

Also, the firm regularly provides advice and counsel on a wide variety of legal issues that arise in day-to-day business operations, whether in the capacity of "general counsel" or as a regional, local, or special counsel in connection with a particular matter. In addition, we have particular expertise in counseling entrepreneurial and start-up firms involved in emerging technologies, including the negotiation of licensing agreements and software contracts, the establishment and implementation of intellectual property protection and management policies and programs, and distribution and service agreements.
